The Healing Center, a Cranberry Township-based medical marijuana dispensary group, entered into a partnership with a marijuana growing and processing company permitted to operate in Pennsylvania.

The Cranberry business purchased a 50% equity interest in Agronomed Biologics LLC from The Franklin Group, a Colorado-based company, forming a partnership with Agronomed Pharmaceuticals LLC.

Agronomed Biologics is permitted to open a medical marijuana growing and processing facility, as well as six dispensaries, in Pennsylvania, to conduct research on medical cannabis with the Drexel University College of Medicine.

Agronomed Biologics is a Phase II approved clinical registrant through Pennsylvania’s Chapter 20 clinical research program. The initial phase of the growing and processing facility and first dispensary, both located in Chester, are nearing completion, and the companies expect they will be deemed operational by the state in late April.
