Butler County Community College canceled its classes Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday because of the expected winter storm.

BC3 spokesman Bill Foley said the college closed all locations and canceled classes beginning at noon Monday as well as all day and evening Tuesday in preparation for the winter storm.

The National Weather Service called for 3 to 6 inches of snow and one- to two-tenths of an inch of ice during the storm, from an advisory which is in effect until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
