PITTSBURGH — Catcher Joe Hudson, 29, has signed a minor league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates that includes an invitation to big league camp.

Hudson was 3-for-17 in nine games with the Seattle Mariners in 2020. He has appeared in 18 major league games in his career and has not committed an error in 101 total chances. He has a career .167 average in 30 major league at bats.

He was originally selected by Cincinnati in the sixth round of the 2012 MLB Draft out of Notre Dame.
