WASHINGTON — Carolina Beach, trained by Bill Bercury and owned by Renee Bercury of Slippery Rock, won the $16,200 Open Handicap Pace during harness racing action at The Meadows.

Elsewhere on the card, Werner Hanover — trained by Steve Schoeffel of Evans City and driven by Brady Brown of Slippery Rock — won the $5,700 Conditioned Claiming Trot.
