1:42 a.m. Dec. 12 — Cody M. Johnston, 24, was arrested on charges of simple assault and reckless endangerment following a domestic dispute at his home on Downham Road.Johnston is accused of getting into an argument with his wife while he was intoxicated, according to court documents. During the incident, he allegedly was unaware that the couple's 1 month old child was on a bed and he placed his knee on the infant's torso while laying down on the same bed.Police said he also beat his head on the door of another bedroom where his wife had gone with the infant and the couple's other child, a 5-year-old, to get away from him.Johnston is charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment. He is free on nonmonetary bail
Dec. 2 — Police charged a Bucks County man with drugged driving stemming from an October traffic stop on Maltby Avenue near South Main Street. The defendant, Aaron O. Morton, 21, of Yardley, was stopped shortly after 10 p.m. Oct. 21.Morton was later taken to Grove City Medical Center for a blood test, according to court documents, which showed he had marijuana in his system. He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and a window-tinting violation.
7:48 p.m. Saturday — No one was injured when a car driven by Dalton E. Anderson, 21, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Tiana S. Baughman, 27, of Dawson, Fayette County, collided at Route 173 and Grossman Lane in Slippery Rock Township.Police cited Anderson for disregarding traffic lanes and a seat-belt violation.5:18 p.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Jessica L. Cartwright, 40, of Chicora collided with another SUV while attempting to turn onto Route 422 just east of Moran Road in Clearfield Township. Amanda E. McCrumb, 29, of New Castle was the other driver.No one was injured, but McCrumb's vehicle had to be towed. Police cited Cartwright for a turning violation.Dec. 2 — Police charged Chalene J. Kimbro, 39, of Erie with driving on alcohol and marijuana in connection with an October traffic stop in Franklin Township. She was pulled over about 8:40 p.m. Oct. 19 while police were running radar on Route 422 near Pleasant Valley Road.A trooper's handheld radar device clocked her going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to court documents. Police eventually pulled her over, and later took her to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.Toxicology results indicated that she had marijuana in her system. Additionally, police said, her blood-alcohol level was 0.116 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Kimbro is charged with driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, DUI, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, speeding, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.Dec. 2 — A Washington County teenager was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last month on Slippery Rock. Police said Trejahn D. Lewis, 18, of Canonsburg was topped about 9:05 p.m. Nov. 2 on North Main Street near Maltby Avenue.Lewis was subsequently taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, according to court documents, which found that he had marijuana in his system.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, he is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, failing to keep right, a stop-sign violation, failing to use turn signals and careless driving.
12:02 p.m. Saturday — Alexander Lane, 27, of Kittanning, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Kountz Lane and Northpointe Boulevard in South Buffalo Township. Police said charges are pending.
