3 local volleyball players all-state
Seneca Valley setter/right-side hitter Sarah White made it a clean sweep as the senior was named to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association all-state team for the fourth consecutive season to highlight three Butler County players to receive the honor.
White made the Class 4A team after posting 265 kills, 25 aces, 27 blocks, 212 assists and 97 digs this season.
In Class 3A, Mars senior outside hitter Beth Long and Freeport junior outside hitter Erica Lampus were named to the all-state team.
Long recorded 173 kills and 164 digs. She also broke the school record for career digs this season.
Lampus averaged 10 kills per match for the Yellowjackets.
The Class 2A and A teams were not yet released.
