The Reason for the Season

Concordia Lutheran Ministries staff and residents will perform their live Nativity on Dec. 13.

JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host the eighth annual Live Nativity at 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. Dec. 13, in front of the Haven II building at 148 Marwood Road on the Concordia at Cabot campus.

Performances are about 15 minutes long and patrons walk by the display.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature live animals, as well as people from the Concordia family, including staff and residents.

The entire event will be held outside this year, so guests are encouraged to dress warm. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available, as well as a gift for children 12 and younger.

Parking will be available at Entrance 6 on Marwood Rd.

The congregation of Nixon United Methodist Church will host its 22nd annual drive-through live Nativity Dec. 12 at the church, 334 Airport Road.The event is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. and features multiple scenes with live actors and animals.Portrayed will be biblical moments such as Mary and Joseph's conversation with the innkeeper and the three wise men leading up to the Nativity.Donations of canned goods for the South Butler County Food Bank will be accepted.
