South Butler continues remote instruction
The South Butler County School District will continue using remote instruction until Jan. 11 due to COVID-19 cases among students and staff, and new state regulations.
In a letter posted on the district’s website Tuesday, Superintendent David Foley said the school board voted Monday to approve his recommendation to continue using remote instruction.
He said requirements from the state departments of health and education call for closing schools if one to seven cases are reported in a building. Before Thanksgiving, 39 staff members were not able to teach due to COVID-19 issues and there are COVID-19 issues among students, he said.
