The River's Bend Quilters will present Quilts of Valor to Chicora area Vietnam veterans from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 6 and 9 at the Bradys Bend American Legion Post 488, 975 Route 68.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chicora Elementary School will not have its annual Veterans Day program where the Quilts of Valor presentations typically occur.

The quilters still wanted to honor these veterans, so the alternative location was arranged. The presentations will be done with social distancing, by having only one quilt presented to a Vietnam veteran scheduled every 20 minutes. So, for the three hours both days, there will be a total of about 15 quilts presented.
