ADAMS TWP — Mars varsity football coach Scott Heinauer was named Pittsburgh Steelers Week 6 Coach of the Week.

Heinauer earned his 200th career victory at Mars last weekend against Greensburg Salem. He became the 33rd coach in WPIAL history to win 200 games and is 200-109 in his career at Mars.

A six-time Coach of the Year, Heinauer is a 2017 Butler County Sports Hall of Fame inductee, a 2016 Pa. Scholastic Fooball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee and was named 2014 Pa. Athletic Director of the Year.

SR resident Brown keeps on winning

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown continued on his roll in harness racing Wednesday at The Meadows, guiding Grace Ann to victory at 7-1 odds.

The 4-year-old filly was last in the field of eight at one point, but rallied to win the $10,100 Conditioned Pace.
