Soccer shutouts

KC boys, girls; Butler, Mars pitch zeros

McKenna Martin and Emma Dailey scored two goals each Tuesday as Karns City's girls soccer team shut out Clarion, 6-0.

Martin and Dailey had an assist as well. Ally Fennell had a goal and two assists, Paige Dodd a goal and Jill Morrow two assists.

Mars 11, Central Valley 0 — Gracie Dunaway scored three goals and Ellie Coffield added two more to lead the Planets to this rout.

Butler 7, Kiski Area 0 — Sam Miller scored a pair of goals to lead the Golden Tornado.Gabby Boden, Maura Denniston, Madison Rose, Jessica Mohney and Chloe Weiland also scored for Butler (6-0).

Freshman Myles McCully scored two goals and senior Dakota King added a pair himself as Karns City blanked Clarion-Limestone, 4-0.Colson Ritzert, Chase Beighley and Jacob Callihan had assists. The Gremlins honored their nine seniors before the game.

Quinn Hughes had seven kills and 11 service points as Knoch (3-4, 2-4) defeated Highlands, 3-0. Match scores were 25-8, 25-11, 25-6.Krystle Ekas had six kills, Mykenzie Werner and Nicole Critchlow 12 service points each.<b>Union 3, Forest Area 0 —</b> Morgan Cumberland had 22 assists and seven aces and Drew Davis added six kills for the Damsels in a 25-19, 25-8, 25-18 win.Keira Coyle pitched in four kills and two aces for Union.<b>Slippery Rock 3, Grove City 1 —</b> Tiffany Madison had 17 kills and six blocks and Laney McClymonds added 12 kills and 12 digs as the Rockets outlasted the Eagles 27-25, 20-25, 25-12, 30-28.Virginia Recchia added 32 assists, Kiara Wilson 32 digs and Makenna Shaner 28 digs for Slippery Rock.<b>A-C Valley 3, Moniteau 2 —</b> The Falcons improved to 4-1 with this 25-17, 19-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-13 win.Andrea Meals had 12 kills and 18 digs, Mia Sherman 10 kills, 15 service points and eight aces, Meah Ielase nine kills and 15 digs, Tarra Stefanacci 21 assists and Lexi Ruckdeschel seven kills for A-C Valley.Aslyn Pry had 19 kills and three blocks and Logan Barnhart 28 assists for the Warriors.<b>Freeport 3, Armstrong 0 —</b> The Yellowjackets improved to 4-1 with this 25-13, 25-22, 26-24 triumph.Josie Russo had 10 kills and eight service points, Addie Rusak 10 kills and six blocks, Sydney Selker 18 service points and seven kills, Erica Lampus 11 service points and seven kills, Cassidy Dell nine service points, 36 assists and four kills for Freeport.Freeport hosts Mars Thursday.
