WASHINGTON, Pa. — The combination of driver Brady Brown of Slippery Rock and trainer Steve Schoeffel of Evans City brought 9-1 long shot Werner Hanover to victory during Monday's harness racing card at The Meadows.

A quartet of Butler County residents — Tom King III of Valencia, Virginia Schoeffel, Kathy Schoeffel and Marian Schilling, all of Evans City — own the 3-year-old trotter, which captured a $9,000 Conditioned Trot.
