WASHINGTON, Pa. — Driver Brady Brown of Slippery Rock and trainer Steve Schoeffel of Evans City teamed up for a strange victory in harness racing Monday at The Meadows.

Brown crossed the wire second with the Schoeffel trainee Little Petey, but was credited with the win when the first-place horse was disqualified for interference before the start.

It marked the first career win for Little Petey, a 2-year-old filly trotter owned by Virginia and Kathy Schoeffel, both of Evans City.
