Getting Back in the Classroom: Moniteau School District

Education plan: Moniteau will open to in-person school on Sept. 8 with the option for parents to enroll their children in cyber school

Dassa McKinney Elementary School: Kindergarten, 85 students; first, 83; second, 74; third, 85; fourth, 109; fifth, 90; sixth, 89; principal, Dustin Thompson

Moniteau Junior/Senior High School: Seventh, 74 students; eighth, 87; ninth, 93; 10th, 91; 11th, 99; 12th, 98; principal, Lance Fox

Vo-Tech usage: 50 students

AP classes: 56 students enrolled in 6 advanced placement classes

Bus company: Campbell Bus Co.

Breakfast: Districtwide, $1; reduced rate 30 cents

Lunch: Elementary, $2.10; reduced rate 40 cents. Jr./Sr. High, $2.30; reduced rate 40 cents

Activity fees: No charges for activity fees for extracurricular activities

Student parking: $50. Board is considering waiving parking fee due to COVID-19

Program changes: No educational program changes

Technology updates: Moniteau plans to have Chromebook devices for every student in the district this year

Major personnel changes: Alix Greenawalt was hired as the district’s new technology director; Lance Fox has been appointed coordinator for K-12 Cyber School Learning
