Getting Back in the Classroom: Butler Area School District

District: Butler Area School District

Education plan: Parents and students can select how they want their education delivered. For grades 7-12, the “Learning Pathways” options are traditional in-school instruction five days a week following the normal class schedule; remote learning through the online/cyber school program or a hybrid combination of traditional and online instruction.

Enrollment: 6,100 students in kindergarten through grade 12

Vo-tech usage: 320 students

AP classes: The district has several AP and College in the High School classes

Bus company: Valley Lines

Breakfast: $1.25; reduced price, 30 cents if eligible; milk, 50 cents

Lunch: $2.25, elementary; $2.50, secondary; reduced price, 40 cents if eligible

Activity fees: None

Technology update: Each student in grades 7-12 will be provided with a Chromebook
