Marsha and Carl Smith

Carl and Marsha Smith of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage. At a later time, the couple plans to return to Ocean City, N.J., where they went for their honeymoon.

Smith married the former Marsha R. Zurney on July 25, 1970, at First Baptist Church in Kittanning.

They have two children, Carrie-Anne Vandevort of Butler and Melanie Grace of Boyers.

They also have six grandchildren.

Smith retired from Servistar Corp. in East Butler.

Mrs. Smith retired from Kenneth E. Bauman Bus Inc. in Butler.

The Smiths enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

The Smiths are members of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
