County GOP elects executive officers

Newly elected Butler County Republican committeemen and committeewomen met Thursday in Prospect to discuss this year’s general election.

The group met at the Atrium off Route 422 to elect executive committee officers for the 2020-22 term. The meeting was attended by 60 of the 67 newly elected committee people.

Among those elected were Al Lindsay as chairman, Trish Lindsay as internal vice chairman, Denise Etter as external vice chairman, JonDavid Longo as secretary and Tom Davidson as treasurer.

According to a news release, the candidates for each office all spoke about the need to get more Republican voters out to vote during this year’s general election to vote Republican all the way down the ticket.

“Two years ago, our team sought to change the direction of the committee by energizing our committee people. Last night’s election affirms that we are headed in the right direction, and that we will be stronger in advocating traditional American values and ideals,” Lindsay said in a prepared statement.
