[naviga:h3]Pa: Wearing masks helps businesses [/naviga:h3]
Gov. Tom Wolf, Department of Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin and Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding are reminding residents to protect and support local businesses by wearing masks while shopping or dining.
Wolf said wearing a mask not only protects employees and other patrons from COVID-19 and will allow them to remain open, but shows businesses respect and support during the coronavirus pandemic.
State Secretary of Health Rachel Levine signed an order July 1 mandating the wearing of masks in public. It remains in effect.
[naviga:h3]Street cleaning set for Tuesday in Butler[/naviga:h3]
Parking will be restricted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday on eight streets in Butler for street cleaning.
The streets are McKinley, Miller, Mitchell and Wagner avenues; Bredin, Olive and Broad streets; and Washington Street to West Fulton to Jefferson streets.
[naviga:h3]GCC students back in class on Aug. 24 [/naviga:h3]
Grove City students will return to class Aug. 24 with physician-led protocols in place.
The college is collaborating with Allegheny Health Network to protect students and staff returning to classes.
According to a news release, the college is participating in AHN’s Physician Consult for Business program, which will provide tailored guidance from medical and public health experts to mitigate the impact of coronavirus on the campus community.
The program will provide an AHN physician to advise administrators and staff on preventing the virus and responding to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on campus.
