[naviga:h3]Fireworks planned after BlueSox games[/naviga:h3]
Michelle Krill Memorial Field at Historic Pullman Park in Butler is hosting a fireworks display on July 4 after a doubleheader between the Butler BlueSox and the Toledo Hawks.
The display will begin at about 9:30 p.m.
The fireworks will be ignited from the parking lot behind the center field wall.
The Butler Hot Dog Shoppe and the Gillaland Vanasdale Sinatra Law Office are cosponsoring the fireworks.
[naviga:h3]Firearms licenses will be available[/naviga:h3]
The county’s Government Building on 124 West Diamond Street will be open on a select number of Saturdays next month and in August for license to carry firearms applications, according to Sheriff Michael Slupe.
On July 18, 25 and Aug. 8, people will be able to enter the lobby and apply for a gun license between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Additionally, the Butler County Sheriff’s office will provide the licensing service on Aug. 1 in Cranberry Township at 2525 Rochester Road between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
