Cranberry cruises to BCABL win
Cranberry used a seven-run third inning to set up its season-opening, 11-0, five-inning win over Karns City Tuesday in Butler County Area Baseball League play.
Winning pitcher Matthew Stanick struck out six in three innings and Zach Snyder fanned four in the final two frames.
Seve Balog had two hits for Cranberry and Snyder had a two-run double in the third to break the game open. T.Elder had two hits for Karns City.
West Sunbury 11, East Butler 3 — Gage Neal got the win on the mound. Mason Mershimer had two doubles for West Sunbury while AJ McElravy had two hits.
Losing pitcher Clay Collins had a hit for East Butler.
