June 10 — William R. Ringler, 48, of Fairview Township was allegedly caught with a stamp bag of suspected heroin and a pill bottle containing multiple empty stamp bags following a traffic stop last month on the 500 block of East Brady Street.

Ringler, who was a passenger in the vehicle, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

June 9 — Robert E. Lockskin, 25, of Butler was arraigned on charges he pointed a handgun at an ex-girlfriend during a domestic dispute last month on East Jefferson Street. No one was injured.

The victim told police that around 2:30 p.m. May 24, Lockskin pulled his vehicle into a parking lot near her and displayed a gun, pointing it at her, according to court documents. He is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault.

June 8 — Michael W. Pallone, 56, of Butler Township was charged with stalking stemming from a pair of incidents earlier this month on Amy Avenue.

A young girl told police that a man, later identified as Pallone, was watching her play on a trampoline with a friend in the back yard of a home around 9 p.m. June 1, according to court documents. The next day, the same girl reported seeing the defendant. She told police that the man did not say anything to her.

Police went to Pallone’s house and spoke to him. He admitted being on Amy Avenue, but denied watching the victim.

June 2 — Brian Lee Scott, 34, of Chicora was charged with driving under the influence stemming from an incident last month on the 500 block of West Jefferson Street. Police said they found him after they got a call around 5:20 p.m. May 24 for two people passed out in a vehicle at a parking lot.

Scott was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which was running, according to court documents. He was subsequently taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which he refused, police said.

In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving without a license.

June 1 — Police charged an Allegheny County man with having 41 stamp bags of suspected heroin last month on Chestnut Street. Officers stopped the defendant, Ewari W. Ellis, 37, of Coraopolis, who was wanted on a warrant, around 5:50 p.m. May 11.

Ellis is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Monday — Police reported they are investigating a shoplifting incident last month at the Dollar General store on Petrolia Street in Karns City. The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. May 24 when an unknown male and female took about $80 worth of merchandise.

Sunday — Police cited Brett A. Hildebrand, 35, of Butler in connection with a hit-and-run crash last month on Route 68 just north of Valley Vista Lane in Oakland Township. The wreck occurred around 4 p.m. May 26, according to a police report, when his minivan traveled off the road and hit several mailboxes.

Police said he drove away after the crash. He is charged with hit-and-run and disregarding traffic lanes.

12:34 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Courtney A. Jakiel, 21, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, struck a tree stump off Route 108 at West Park Road in Worth Township. No injuries were reported.

9:29 p.m. Friday — Steven Ayala, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at South Main and Vogeley streets in Butler. Police said they also found him with suspected marijuana.
