WASHINGTON, Pa. — Brady Brown of Slippery Rock and Shawn Johnston of Evans City drove home winners Monday as harness racing returned to The Meadows.

Brown drove Final Breath, listed at 8-1, to victory in the $17,900 Open Handicap Trot. Johnston drove Peachy Georgia, a 73-1 longshot trained by Gary Johnston of Evans City, to victory in a $7,500 Conditioned Trot.

Peachy Georgia, a 3-year-old filly, hadn’t raced since Oct. 5.
