The South Butler Community Library in Saxonburg has announced that while patrons can begin returning borrowed items at noon Monday, the library will remain closed until workers can prepare the site to open under pandemic protocol.

The due date on all borrowed items is now June 15 and no fines have accrued while the library was closed, according to a news release from the library Friday.

The date of the first phase of the reopening, which will offer no-contact pickups, has not been determined.

Once that occurs, patrons can place holds on items they wish to borrow.
