Butler Memorial Hospital received an ‘A’ rating by a national hospital watchdog organization.
The spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade awarded that grade based on the hospital’s commitment to health care quality and safety, and is updated every six months. The grading looks at how well hospitals prevent medical errors and patient harm.
More than 2,600 acute-care hospitals in the United States receive Leapfrog grades twice a year, and the grading is peer-reviewed and free to the public.
“The BHS team of caregivers works very hard every day to provide the highest level of care possible,” said BHS president & CEO Ken DeFurio. “This means safe care and good outcomes. We are pleased that our focus on quality and results is again recognized by an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group.”
