Homeless vets can receive help
Veterans in 18 western and central Pennsylvania counties can receive help from the Veterans Leadership Program for the cost of housing after a more than $1 million grant from the U.S. Veterans Administration.
The group’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families program will use that money to help homeless veterans into hotels and permanent housing, provide rental assistance and prevent homelessness by defraying rental arrears.
In Western Pennsylvania counties including Butler, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver and Lawrence counties, veterans will be eligible for the service.
