Former caregiver allegedly stole money from Prospect couple

A former caregiver is accused of using the debit card of a Butler County couple to steal more than $300 last month.

State police Wednesday charged Bella R. Burk, 21, of Grove City with misdemeanor theft charges in the case.

Police said Burk was a home health care aide in April when she learned the personal identification number for the debit card belonging to the Prospect couple for whom she was working.

Burk’s alleged victims, according to police, were a 53-year-old woman suffering from a terminal illness and a 60-year-old man who is visually impaired.
