A freeze warning Wednesday night and Thursday morning will usher in a rain and snow mix, as well as below freezing temperatures, on Friday night.

“We have a low Friday night down to 25 (degrees),” said Jared Rackley, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Temperatures Thursday are forecast to hit 58 degrees in the afternoon, when there is a 30 percent chance of rain, but then dip to 35 degrees Thursday night.

Rain and snow are likely for early Friday morning and expected to turn to just rain showers as the temperature reaches the mid-40s in the afternoon. Rain and snow forecast for the day could turn to snow showers Friday night as the temperature then falls to 25 degrees.

A chance of rain and snow remains in the forecast Saturday, but Sunday brings mostly sunny skies and a high of 55 degrees.

“The average high this time of year is right around 68 so we're still 10 degrees below average,” Rackley said.
