Helping Hands
Lifesteps in Butler Township handed out 1,000 meals Tuesday afternoon to individuals and families who signed up to retrieve them at the intersection of North Eberhart and New Castle roads. The meals, meant to help those struggling with food during the coronavirus pandemic, were made possible through a donation from John Aubrey Jr. of Farmer’s Insurance. Recipients chose between chicken Parmesan and chicken tenders dinners with sides. Prepared by a caterer, each meal served four people. Staff from Farmers Insurance and Lifesteps volunteered and assisted with distributing the meals.
