Holiday cheer, no matter the season Boy shows love for all things Christmas
For one 4-year-old in Butler County, every day is the most wonderful time of the year.
Tyler Hempfling said his son's favorite holiday is Christmas, which is no surprise to anyone who knows him.
“He celebrates Christmas all year around and is always dressing up as Santa. And he's got his little power wheel which is his sleigh and usually he delivers imaginary gifts to made up houses,” Hempfling said of his son, Landon.
The family, including his mother, Aberia, and sister, Kennedy, make their home on Oneida Valley Road in Oakland Township.
“I'm sure the neighbors get a kick out of it but no one has ever stopped and talked to him,” he said.
Hempfling said Landon's Christmas obsession started when the boy was 2 years old.
“He watches Christmas movies all year around. Just like all the time,” Hempfling said. “He likes Frosty, Santa Claus, and those cartoon Christmas ones.”
Even Halloween serves as a way for the would-be elf to relish in holiday cheer.
“For last Halloween he dressed up as the Grinch. Wore green face paint and a Santa coat,” Hempfling said.
And even Landon's 7-year-old sister, who usually doesn't entertain her brother's winter holiday obsession, got into the Christmas spirit and dressed up as Cindy Lou Who.
“He'll take a break for a minute to celebrate Easter and stuff but he always wants to be in the Christmas spirit,” Hempfling said.
