[naviga:h3]Online COVID-19 resource guide for seniors launched[/naviga:h3]
The state Department of Aging has launched an online COVID-19 resource guide to help older adults and their families easily find useful information related to their senior health, safety and well-being.
The guide can be viewed on the department’s website, aging.pa.gov, under “COVID-19 Resource Guide for Older Adults.” The guide provides older adults, their families and caregivers with information on a variety of subjects, including meals, prescriptions, protective services, scams and how to stay active and connected.
[naviga:h3]Theater suspends operations through April 30 in Zelie[/naviga:h3]
Due to the recent stay-at-home order, The Strand theater in Zelienople has suspended operations through April 30. All live April shows have been postponed and all movies canceled.
Further shows may be canceled or postponed based on the stay-at-home order. Refunds or credits will be addressed once operations resume.
The box office phone will be staffed from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, for questions.
[naviga:h3]Teleconference will address issues related to farming[/naviga:h3]
Area farmers and those with agriculture-related businesses are invited to participate in a farmers teleconference from 9:05 to 10:30 a.m. Friday with state Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th, and Russ Redding, the state Secretary of Agriculture.
An update on issues faced by farmers will be provided by state legislators from Butler County, members of the county Farm Bureau and Conservation District and officials with the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences. A question-and-answer session will be included in the teleconference.
