April 6 — Angela M. Geibel, 45, of Slippery Rock was charged in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the Butler Commons Walmart. Police said Geibel took $248 worth of merchandise about 8:50 p.m. March 3. She is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of retail theft.

8:15 a.m. Friday — An Indiana County man lost control of his car and crossed both lanes before hitting a fence along Route 228 just east of Westminster Road in Clinton Township. Benjamin R. Stevens, 37, of Shelocta was not injured but he was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.7:27 a.m. Friday — No one was injured when a car driven by Emily M. Hunter, 23, of Aliquippa, Beaver County sideswiped a tractor-trailer on a bridge on Interstate 79 north in Jackson Township. Hunter lost control of her vehicle and struck a concrete barrier on the side of the bridgePolice cited Hunter for driving too fast for conditions. Christopher B. Ingalls, 27, of El Paso, Texas, was the other driver.6:45 a.m. Friday — Samantha E. Dillinger, 31, of New Castle was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle, struck an embankment and rolled over on Interstate 79 south just east of Metcalf Road in Jackson Township. The vehicle, which ended on its passenger's side, had to be towed.Police said Dillinger had minor injuries, but she refused medical treatment. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:39 p.m. Wednesday —Kyle G. Shingledecker, 21, of Grove City was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Brady Township. The wreck happened when a pickup driven by Stephen C. Mitcham, 41, of New Castle and the car Shingledecker was driving collided at Route 173 and Beatty Road.Shingledecker was taken to Grove city Medical Center with unknown injuries. Police cited Mitcham for failing to yield the right of way.6:57 a.m. Wednesday — One person was injured when an SUV driven by Ryan A. Miano, 28, of West Sunbury crossed into the opposing lane and struck a pickup on Seven Hill Road just south of Hooker Road in Concord Township. Nathaniel A. Troyan, 35, of Evans City, the other driver, suffered an apparent minor injury.Both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Miano for driving on the wrong side of the road.
