A Butler County man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Route 19 in southern Allegheny County, authorities said.

Stephen Morten, 74, of Evans City was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 11:15 a.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

An autopsy Saturday ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head, neck and chest. The manner of death was listed as accidental, a supervisor with the medical examiner's officer said.

McCandless Township police investigated the crash but a report was not immediately available. An officer Sunday referred all questions to Chief Ryan Hawk, who was unavailable.
