AHN suspends patient visitation
Allegheny Health Network announced Thursday it will suspend all patient visitation at its affiliated facilities until further notice.
AHN will also limit visiting hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors need to be 18 or older.
The facilities affected include hospitals, outpatient clinics and ambulatory surgery centers.
Exceptions are patients in labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care units, pediatrics and end of life care, all of which will be allowed two visitors at a time. Those accompany pediatric patients at outpatient clinics and ambulatory surgery centers are allowed.
Those accompanying adult patients to these locations will be asked to wait in their vehicles or at an external location until they are contacted to pick up the patient.
All visitors will be screened for COVID-19 indicators.
