Franklin Road between Callery and Kaufman roads will be closed for several hours, Jackson Township police say, after a truck struck a utility pole.

JACKSON TWP — JACKSON TWP — Part of Franklin Road is closed Wednesday after a vehicle struck a pole along the roadway at 1:34 p.m.

Jackson Township police say a single truck traveling north maneuvered to avoid hitting a woman walking her dog and went off the road. Police say the vehicle struck the pole and a chevron sign before continuing off the road.

The road will be shut down in both directions between Kaufman and Callery roads for several hours until West Penn Power can arrive on scene. No one was injured. The truck had minor damage to a passenger side including a cracked window.
