[naviga:h3]Glass show this weekend[/naviga:h3]

The 43rd annual show and sale sponsored by the Three Rivers Depression Era Glass Society will feature glass/pottery dealers from across the country on Saturday and Sunday.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Quality Inn, 300 Tarentum Bridge Road, New Kensington.

They will bring all manner of American glassware from 1880s to art deco to the depression era, elegant glass, mid-century modern, ’50s and ’60s.

Admission is charged. Proceeds benefit museums that preserve, collect and display American glass manufacture history.

Hot Jazz on a Cool Night will feature jazz bands from Butler Senior High School, Butler Intermediate School on Friday at the Syria Shrine Center, 1877 Shriners’ Way in Cheswick.
