GC Trade Show builds up prizes

The Grove City Trade Show will feature more than 100 vendors Saturday at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center.

It's already full of prize drawings, but the 21st Grove City Trade Show is adding a few more.

“We're going to do special prize drawings in the morning and afternoon for attendees who are present,” said Beth Black, executive director of the Grove City Chamber of Commerce.

With more than 100 vendors, there will be plenty of opportunities to win door prizes at the trade show, which opens at 9 a.m. Saturday and runs until 3 p.m. at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center.

“Every single vendor has a door prize they're giving away,” Black said.

Black said she hopes it will be an incentive for people to stay longer and take their time checking out all of the vendors.

Everyone who enters the trade show will get a ticket. There will be two drawings in the morning and two drawings in the afternoon for the chamber's door prize.

The key is to still to be around when they pull for the prize.

“If they're still present whenever we do the drawings, then they might win one of the special prizes,” Black said. “If they aren't there, then we'll pull another ticket.”

Entry for the show costs $1 for those 18 and older.

“You get more of your dollar's worth of networking fun,” Black said.

Visitors will find more than door prizes at the show.

“They should also have money on hand for the ability to purchase some of these special trade show deals,” Black said.

Black said the show consistently features a diverse group of vendors, and this year is no exception.

There will be many food vendors as well as local businesses, organizations and nonprofits.

Black said there will be at least one Girl Scout vendor selling the club's famous cookies.

Black said the trade show is about building relationships as well as having fun.

“The trade show is a wonderful opportunity to bring together the people of our community with our commerce community,” she said.
