Slippery Rock University’s baseball team swept a doubleheader with West Virginia State Sunday, winning 6-2 and 8-7. Connor Hamilton had four hits, including a homer, in the twinbill while Alex Robenolt had a homer, triple and two doubles.

Andy McClymonds struck out nine in six innings to win the first game. Moniteau graduate Derek Boben worked the final 2.1 innings for his first career save in the second game.

SRU split a season-opening doubleheader with West Virginia State Saturday in Dunbar, W.Va., losing the first game 7-0 and winning the nightcap, 6-5.

Jon Kozarian, Abraham Mow and Robenolt had two hits each for The Rock in the twinbill. Vince Donato homered.
