Newest American Natural location to open
The grand opening of the newest American Natural — located in Marshall Township at the intersection of Route 19 and Freeport Road just south of Cranberry Township — will have opportunities for special tastings, free samples and giveaways.
The combination eatery, convenience store and gas station officially opens its doors at 8:30 a.m. Monday with a bread-breaking ceremony featuring Mars Mayor Gregg Hartung and a performance by the Mars Area High School Marching Band.
The first 25 customers to enter the store will receive an American Natural gym bag filled with a reusable coffee mug and signature snack items. All customers will enjoy free breakfast tastings, coffee and tea until 11 a.m. and free samples after that until 6 p.m. from Pittsburgh-area vendors, including Mancini’s Bakery, Stamoolis Brothers and Speckled Hen’s Chocolates.
An all-day raffle offers customers a chance to win prizes, including free gas for a month, free pizza for a year, a Nemocolin Woodlands Spa weekend, Bose headphones and a 50-inch television. Winners will be notified March 9.
The free samples and tastings extend beyond the day of the store’s grand opening.
Tuesday will feature tastings of breakfast sandwiches from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the following day will have samples of sandwiches from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Customers on Thursday can taste the store’s pizzas, salads and soups, and tacos will be on tap Friday. Both events will last from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All customers who purchase $5 or more in-store, except for gas, lottery and tobacco products, will receive $1.50 off their purchase price.
The eatery features a large seating area with free Wi-Fi and plenty of electrical and phone-charging stations. The expanded assortment of freshly prepared foods includes hot sandwiches, handcrafted pizzas and salads.
The location offers a bean-to-coffee station, featuring beans sourced from Zeke’s Coffee and premium tea from Tupelo Honey Tea. The store also features popular craft and national brews and an expansive cold and on-shelf wine assortment.
American Natural partners with Community Kitchen Pittsburgh, a local nonprofit dedicated to using food as the foundation to change lives and strengthen communities. A portion of proceeds from all grand opening events will benefit the Community Kitchen.
“We are delighted to be partnering with American Natural for the Cranberry opening. With our continued partnership, we can focus on helping disenfranchised members of our community access to secure and stable employment in the food service industry through culinary arts training and skills,” said Jennifer Flanagan, founder and executive director of the Community Kitchen.
