2 Harmony residents, church will be honored
The Harmony Museum will recognize two Harmony residents and St. Peter’s Reformed Church of Zelienople for historic restoration efforts at its annual Harmoniefest.
Nicholas and Stacy Hewlett, both of Harmony, converted the Knauf Feed Mill, located at 324 German St. in Harmony, into their private residence while maintaining its historic exterior. St. Peter’s used slate when reroofing its historic church at 320 E. Grandview Ave. in Zelienople.
For 30 years, the Harmony Museum has recognized local groups and individuals who have championed historic preservation.
The Harmony Museum also announced Heritage Commendations to three Harmony building owners: Small Parts Machine, located at 252 Mercer St.; Tim Zelinka and Jonathon Patrick, located at 560 Main St.; and Ryan Bechtold, located at 747 Spring St. That award recognizes extra efforts in building beautification and improvements that accent Harmony’s unique charm and historical look.
The winners will be recognized at Harmoniefest, the museum’s annual dinner meeting and awards banquet on March 7. The event is open to the public, with tickets available on the museum’s website. Tickets are $35 each and include the dinner and a wine and cheese reception.
