12:52 a.m. Feb. 20 — Rebecca M. McCorkle, 38, was arrested after police said she assaulted her girlfriend during a domestic dispute at her apartment on the 400 block of North Main Street.

The victim told police that the defendant scratched her arm, bit her in the face, and injured her neck. McCorkle was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and released on nonmonetary bond.

Feb. 10 — Mary J. Putnam, 53, of Butler was allegedly caught with a stamp bag of suspected opioids on the 200 block of North Main Street following a suspicious person call. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

4:10 p.m. Feb. 20 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Daniel J. Voelker, 50, of Butler struck the back of a car on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Zachery L. Donley, 18, of Butler was the other driver. No one was injured. Police cited Voelker for following too closely.

5:50 p.m. Feb. 19 — A car driven by Brenda J. Ferguson ran a red light and collided with a pickup on Route 68 at the Route 422 east off-ramp in Summit Township. Christopher T. Scherder, 29, of Wyoming, Mich., was the other driver. No injuries were reported.

Ferguson’s car had to be towed. Police cited her for disobeying traffic control signals.

4:44 a.m. Feb. 18 — Zachary R. Mandell, 26, of Mercer lost control of his car and struck a tree along Interstate 79 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. He was not injured. His car had to be towed.

12:39 a.m. Feb. 15 — A vehicle driven by Noah F. Young, 22, of Butler struck an embankment and rolled over on Crystal Lane just west of County Line Road in Clearfield Township. Police said he left the scene. The vehicle had to be towed. Young was cited for failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving with a suspended license, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.

1:28 p.m. Feb. 7 — Kenneth J. Gibson, 52, of Cabot is suspected of driving under the influence after he lost control of his car and struck a tree along Rose Way in Winfield Township. The vehicle traveled down a hillside and ended in the back yard of a home on Gray Avenue. He was not injured.

Police said Gibson was taken into custody and later taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. A police report says charges are pending lab results.

8:38 p.m. Feb. 4 — A pickup driven by Peter E. Armstrong 18, of Renfrew struck two trees along Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. Neither he nor a passenger, Noah S. Burnside, 22, of Butler was injured. Police cited Armstrong for driving too fast for conditions.

8:07 a.m. Feb. 2 — Robert V. Wagoner, 33, of Butler lost control of his pickup on snow-covered Route 308 south of Mahood Road in Clay Township and hit a gas meter. Wagoner was not injured. A Columbia Gas crew was contracted to repair the meter.

Monday — Brianna J. Bowman, 22, of Mars was charged with being more than three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a one-vehicle crash on Meridian Road that left her injured. Police said she lost control of her car Jan. 30, crossed over the road and hit an embankment and tree. A medical helicopter flew Bowman to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with injuries.

Her blood-alcohol level, according to court documents, was 0.278 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated. She is charged with driving under the influence and careless driving.

[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]

11:50 a.m. Feb. 20 — Heather Wright, 31, of West Sunbury was taken to Grove City Medical Hospital with unknown injuries following a three-vehicle wreck on West Main Street. The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Phuong Ho, 28, of Grove City crossed the center line and struck Wright’s car. A third vehicle driven by Peter Kotula, 31, of Finleyville, Washington County, was also struck.

All three vehicles were towed from the accident scene. Police cited Ho for careless driving.
