A-C Valley erupted for 31 points in the fourth quarter and the Falcons defeated Johnsonburg, 71-65, in a District 9 Class A boys basketball quarterfinal playoff at DuBois Area High School Friday night.

Junior Levi Orton sank 30 points for A-C Valley and teammate Eddie Stevanus added 24.

Broc Weigle added 11 points, including three treys in the win.

The Falcons (16-7) will take on top-seeded Elk County Catholic (24-1) in a semifinal Wednesday at a site and time to be determined.
