ERIE — Seven Fields resident and North Catholic graduate Alayna Derzak is a returning first team All-AMCC player for the Penn State Behrend women's softball team.

Behrend is picked second in the AMCC in the league's preseason coaches poll. Derzak, a third baseman-pitcher, hit .385 with 29 RBI last season.

Other area players on the Behrend roster are catcher Kendra Schreck (Emlenton), pitcher-infielder Ashley Schmidt (Freeport) and utility player Cam McNany (A-C Valley).
