-The final speaker in the lecture season will be Soledad O’Brien, award-winning journalist, entrepreneur and host of the weekly syndicated political show, “Matter of Fact,” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Smith Student Center Ballroom. Admission is free. Visit www.sru.edu.
-SRU’s Martha Gault Art Gallery hosts the exhibit “A Sin of Omission” in honor of Black History Month in February. The work of professor Pierre Bowins presents the Black American diaspora missing in the history of graphic design.
The exhibition is on display through Feb. 27 in the gallery in the Maltby Center, at 108 Maltby Ave.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Admission is free.

The GCC Orchestra offers a Valentine’s Day date-night destination with its Winter Concert, featuring performances by the winners of the department of music’s annual Concerto/Aria Competition.
The concert will conclude with “A Marvin Hamlisch Celebration.”
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center is free. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The college’s School of Music and the Symphonic Band will present “An Obvious Love” in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Will W. Orr Auditorium.
The symphonic band will perform six pieces throughout the concert.
