College Notes

TYLER FREDERICK (Butler) scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had three assists in La Roche’s 96-92 double-overtime men’s basketball victory over Penn State Behrend. AUSTIN HANNES (Knoch) had 15 points in the win.

KENNY FUKON (North Catholic, Cranberry Township) scored 19 points for Penn State Behrend in the loss to La Roche.

EMMA LIZEWSKI (Seneca Valley) placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 33 feet, 1.75 inches for Grove City at Mount Union’s Jim Wuske Invitational. Her jump placed second among Division III women’s triple jumpers at the meet.

JENNA SHELTON (Knoch) took fourth place in the 400 meters for Penn State Behrend at the Mount Union Invite. Her time was 1 minute, 2.37 seconds.

CHAD PAKOZDI (Butler) ran a leg of the Thiel College men’s distance medley relay which took third at the Tiffin Dragon Invite. Their time was 11:24.71.

DALTON ANDERSON (Moniteau) improved his Westminster school record in the heptathlon with a fifth-place finish of 4,266 points at the University of Akron’s Collegiate Invitational.

ALAZIA GREAVES (Moniteau) had nine points and six rebounds in Westminster’s 61-48 women’s basketball loss at Saint Vincent.

CODY SCHNUR (Butler) led Penn State Behrend with seven kills in its 3-0 men’s volleyball win over Saint Vincent. Schnur added 12 kills in the Lions’ 3-1 win over Mount St. Joseph.

HANNAH KNOLL (Karns City) ran a leg of Westminster’s 4x400 meter relay, which placed second at the Oberlin College Mini-Meet. The women’s relay time was 4:32.31.

DOUG KOSTELANSKY (Butler) placed third in the 5,000 meters for Point Park at the RSC Indoor Championship. His time of 17 minutes, 27 seconds and finish earned him all-conference honors.
