3-vehicle crash snarls Freedom Road
CRANBERRY TWP — No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Freedom Road.
The incident, which took place at the Sheetz intersection, involved two vehicles in a head-on collision. A third vehicle rear-ended one of the vehicles, but was able to be driven from the scene.
The two vehicles involved in the collision were towed, according to Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company Assistant Chief John Pristas.
The left lanes of both directions of Freedom Road were temporarily closed while emergency vehicles and tow trucks were at the scene. The vehicles involved in the collision had single occupants.
Pristas said the call came in around 1:30 p.m. and the scene was cleared at 2:08 p.m.
Cranberry Township VFC and Cranberry Township EMS responded to the scene.
