[naviga:h3]Valentine’s Day gala planned[/naviga:h3]
A Valentine’s Day Gala, hosted by Moraine Preservation Fund, is planned for Feb. 14 at the Fieldstone at Armstrong Farms in Sarver.
“Love on the Lake 2020” will feature cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing to the sounds of The Bob Riddle Trio from 8 to 11 p.m.
Silent auction and raffle items are also planned.
All funds raised will support projects such as educational tours on the new Nautical Nature boat and future enhancements to the Owlet gift shop to support year round education programs.

Attire is casual cocktail. Those attending must be at least age 21.
Registration will close Jan. 31.
[naviga:h3]GC students write musical[/naviga:h3]
A pair of Grove City College seniors spent years working on an original musical adaptation of the Greek tragedy “Antigone.”
That work comes to fruition Thursday when “Antigone & the King” by Class of 2020 students Noah Gould and Micah Mooney debuts in the Little Theatre of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.
The first full-length student-produced musical ever staged on campus will run through Saturday, nightly at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

The Friday and Saturday shows are “sold out,” but those in the standby line will be admitted 10 minutes before each show.
[naviga:h3]‘Big League Fun’ opens[/naviga:h3]
Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh will open “Big League Fun” on Saturday.
The new baseball-themed exhibit includes 1,800 square feet of hands-on discovery featuring baseball activities, simulated game experiences, and trivia challenges.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens presents a Tropical Forest Cuba Festival on Feb. 8.
Family-fun activities are planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate the beauty and culture of Cuba.
Sponsored in part by Duquesne University, Tropical Forest Cuba will show a collection of orchids, ferns and rare cycads, along with other exotic plant species as well as entertainment and food.
All festival activities are free with Conservatory admission.
