Pa. hunters break bear harvest record
While bear hunting remains open through Saturday in some parts of the state, Pennsylvania hunters have already set a state record.
The 2019 Pa. bear harvest sat at 4,577 as of Monday morning. The previous record harvest for the state was 4,350 in 2011.
There have been 283 bears harvested in Lycoming County, 267 in Clinton County and 261 in Tioga County. There have been 44 bears harvested in Butler County this year.
