JACKSON TWP — A Haine Elementary School teacher will learn Monday in Hershey if he is the state’s teacher of the year.

Paolo Tolomeo, who teaches fourth grade, was named a finalist in April to be 2020 Pennsylvania teacher of the year, an honor awarded by the commonwealth’s education secretary.

The winner will be announced during Monday’s SAS Institute, an annual professional development conference.

He is in competition with 11 other teachers.
