Suspect sought in alleged screwdriver stabbing
BUTLER — Police are asking for help in finding a woman charged with stabbing another woman in the head with a screwdriver Tuesday afternoon.
Rachelle McMillan, 57, is being sought by police in the attack that happened at a West Wayne Street home. Police say witnesses told investigators McMillan stabbed the victim between five and six times in the head with a screwdriver.
Police said McMillan fled the area on foot and has not yet turned herself in to police.
Around 1:15 p.m., Butler City Police were dispatched to the home on the 200 block of West Wayne Street, where they found the victim, a 52-year-old Butler woman, with blood on her face and head.
Police said the woman was stabbed to the left side of her head multiple times with a screwdriver.
Police said Butler firefighters and paramedics administered aid to the woman, who they say at one point lost consciousness. Paramedics wrapped her head in bandages and then placed a collar on her neck before placing her on a gurney and putting her into an ambulance.
Authorities said the victim was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
