12 p.m. Sept. 2 — State police are investigating an illegal firearm purchase by an unidentified Butler resident through Butler Gun Emporium in Chicora.

11:41 a.m. Nov. 22 — State police are investigating a case of online identity theft. The victim is a 31-year-old female from West Sunbury. The victim told police a fake Verizon Wireless account was opened after her identity was stolen.

9 p.m. Nov. 15 — Charges of simple assault were filed after a 37-year-old Butler woman was forcibly removed from a home on Dick Road by a 50-year-old Butler man. The victim sustained bruises as a result of the incident.
